        Promotion got off to a flying start with

        participating drivers. A success that
      
      
        has been in the making since 2011
      
      
        when, following the 2010 Challenge
      
      
        Renault 2.0 featuring the “old” Tatuus
      
      
        single-seater, the organisers, Domenico
      
      
        Porfiri and Barbara Petrivelli, breathed
      
      
        new life into the most significant training
      
      
        formula racing category in Italian
      
      
        motorsports since the turn of the
      
      
        century, introducing the new version of
      
      
        the Renault 2.0 models. From twenty
      
      
        cars that participated in the first season
      
      
        of ALPS 2011, to almost 40 on the 7th
      
      
        April at Vallelunga. The category boasts
      
      
        twenty teams from all parts of Europe,
      
      
        including six (ARTA Engineering,
      
      
        Interwetten.com, Jenzer Motorsport,
      
      
        Koiranen GP, Prema Powerteam and
      
      
        Tech 1 Racing) that also compete in the
      
      
        prestigious European F.Renault 2.0
      
      
        category; testimony to the high quality
      
      
        of the series that has welcomed the
      
      
        Tatuus brand back to the category.
