Joshua Raneri – Alberto Di Folco

The sole representative from Oceania in the ALPS championship is

Joshua Raneri who races for Marco Bragherio and Giacomo

Notarrigo’s Team Torino Motorsport. The team from Piedmont

entered a second single-seater, driven by Alberto Di Folco, another

Italian driver from the world of kart racing. Following the races in

Vallelunga, Raneri was unfortunate at Imola, where an accident in

race 1 prevented him from participating in the second race, whereas

things went even worse at Spa where he damaged his car after

going off the track during the practice sessions and was unable to

take part in qualifying or the races. Despite his inexperience, Di

Folco was immediately close to a points finish in the second race at

Vallelunga and managed to complete the races at Imola.

Unfortunately, because of Raneri’s accident, Team Torino was forced

to sit out the event at Spa.

Bruno Bonifacio – Luca Ghiotto – Antonio Fuoco

On their full-time return to F.Renault 2.0, Angelo Rosin’s team quickly found themselves at the top of the ALPS

championship, winning all six races held so far, as well as achieving all the pole positions. The first race at

Vallelunga went to Bruno Bonifacio; he was followed by the debutant Antonio Fuoco, a graduate of kart racing and

a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy program, who won the second race. Fuoco continued to dominate at

Imola, where he won both races, whereas at Spa it was Bonifacio’s turn again in the first race, while the second

race went to his team mate Luca Ghiotto. Another important victory went to Ghiotto who had led Italy to victory in

the F.Renault 2.0 Eurocup in Spa, the week before the ALPS meeting at the same circuit.

        Jakub Dalewski – Juan Branger

Although Roberto Cavallari’s JD Motorsport team did not participate

at Vallelunga, they were immediately competitive at the F.Renault 2.0

ALPS meetings at Imola and Spa. The biggest surprise was the per-

formance of rookie Polish driver Jakub Dalewski, who scored points

with seventh and eighth place finishes at Imola, followed by a

podium finish at Spa where he was second in the final race. An

exceptional result for Dalewski, and the JD Motorsport organization

on their return to F.Renault. During the meeting at Imola, the Italian

team entered a second car driven by the Venezuelan Juan Branger

who continued to progress with an encouraging sixteenth place in

        race one.
