4 How was the year for Tatuus? While the pandemic hasn’t stopped yet, everything seemed a bit more normal… ì"From our point of view, it was only the Toyota Racing Series to still suffer from the consequences of Covid‐19 in 2021, due to the very severe restrictions set by the New Zealand government. The other championships adapted to the situation, such as F3 Asia, which moved its center of gravity to the Middle East with excellent results. We always assured our support, locally or even remotely, when we were not allowed to enter the countries, such as the United States. Part of the uncertainty remained: there were changes in the calendars, with reschedulings or even cancellations, and some logistical problems, including protocols, tests, travel, and transport costs that skyrocketed. Luckily, we work with some outstanding promoters, who adopted all the necessary instruments to handle their events while allowing all the professionals involved to operate". Did the experience made during the first part of the pandemic help you in any way? "Now we are aware that we can react to situations that change by the day, and we have become quicker to respond to legislative and procedural issues that we were not previously prepared for, simply because it was not necessary. Following such strict protocols, however, takes some energy, and has an economic impact that is not easily recoverable. We hope to close this chapter as soon as possible: for us as Tatuus, but obviously for the world population in general ".
