44 USF2000 Heat from Brazil Coming from a troubled debut season in 2020, Brazilian Kiko Porto delivered a great push in the middle part of the year to secure the 2021 USF2000 title by Marco Cortesi T he 2021 USF2000 series came to its completion at Mid‐Ohio with Brazilian Kiko Porto taking home the title in his second year in the series. The 18‐year‐old from Recife rebounded after a troubled debut in 2020 when first he missed the season start due to pandemic restrictions and then contracted Covid‐19 himself which cost him another event. The year started with a powerful showing by Yuven Sundaramoorthy. Coming from Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, the American took three wins in as many events between Barber, St. Petersburg and Indianapolis, but eventually lost touch with the other frontrunners in the middle stages of the season. Unfortunately for him, that was when his main contenders came alive. Michael D'Orlando and Porto made their breakthrough between Lucas Oil Raceway, the only oval of the calendar in Indy, Road Atlanta, Yuven Sundaramoorthy
