TCR World and life
30 SCANDINAVIA Robert Dahlgren and Andreas Ahlberg shared the honours in TCR Scandinavia’s visit to Denmark’s Jyllandsringen, while Tobias Brink claimed a couple of second places. These results made the battle for the title that will be decided in the season’s finale at Mantorp Park, on October 4th and 5th even closer. Dahlgren has retained his lead in the standings with a margin of 21 points over Brink, while Ahlberg has climbed to third, a further ten points adrift and Wernersson has dropped to fourth, 38 points behind the leader. RACE 1 – NOBODY CAN CATCH DAHLGREN Dahlgren was uncatchable in the first race and easily converted pole position into his third win of the season. The layout of the Danish circuit doesn’t favour overtaking manoeuvres and so there were very few changes of positions during the 18-lap race. Dahlgren led from the start, followed by Casper Elgaard, Brink, Wernersson and Hannes Morin. On lap 4, Elgaard served a drive-through penalty for a false start and dropped to sixth, then on lap 7 Morin too was given a drive- through and rejoined in seventh place, behind Elgaard and Mikaela Åhlin- Kottulinski. There were no further changes until the end, in spite of Morin’s vain efforts to pass Åhlin- Kottulinski; the young Norwegian Kristian Sætheren finished ninth in his first Touring Car race at the wheel of the Insight Racing Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce. RACE 2 – AHLBERG FROM LIGHTS-TO-FLAG Ahlberg took his second victory of the season in an eventful Race 2. Morin made a poor start from pole and so Ahlberg led the field into T1 from Brink, Wernersson, Morin, Elgaard and Dahlgren; behind them, Kim Lund Johanson and Åhlin-Kottulinsky came together, the Dane lost control of his DAHLGREN, BRINK, AHLBERG ANDWERNERSSON ARE IN CONTENTION Thebattleforthe titlegetscloser
