19 RACE 2 – GRECO RESISTS TO GUIDETTI’S PRESSURE On the wet track, Greco took the lead at the start from P2 on the grid, pipping pole sitter Damiano Reduzzi, while Bettera and Guidetti followed in third and fourth positions. During the first two laps Bettera and Guidetti moved into first and second and, soon after, Reduzzi was punted into a spin by Pellegrini. As the rain intensified, Guidetti passed Bettera for P2 on lap 3 and began closing the gap to Greco. Pellegrini moved into fourth position overtaking Reduzzi, but was given a drive-through for the earlier incident. Halfway through the race, the rain eased a little and Scalvini began chasing Bettera, passing him for P3 on lap 6. On lap 10, Greco made a mistake while negotiating the first chicane and his lead over Guidetti went down to 1.2 seconds. However, Greco was able to retain a small advantage and won by 1.6 seconds from Guidetti; Scalvini topped the DSG class and completed the overall podium ahead of Bettera, while Reduzzi won the close fight for P5 with Felice Jelmini, though they both were given 5- second penalties for zigzagging and for a collision with Tavano during the opening lap respectively.
