TCR World and life

Daniel Haglöf – competing as a guest driver – first allowed Dahlgren to pass to move into fourth place, then made contact with Brink in an incident that saw the Audi end its race in the barriers just before the race’s halfway point. Haglöf was given a drive-through penalty for the incident, but that was of little comfort for Brink. Dahlgren, who had been the first TCR Scandinavia champion in 2017, took the Drivers’ title by 29 points from Brink, while Wernersson’s fourth win of the season meant he ended the season in third place, just five points behind his teammate. Ahlberg finished fourth and Andersson fifth. It was an exact reversal of the situation in the Team’s championship. Wernersson’s Race 2 victory, together with Hannes Morin’s fifth place, helped Brink Motorsport to secure the title by the same margin – 29 points – over PWR Racing, with Micke Kågered Racing ending the season in third place. 25 Round 13 – Saturday 5 October, Mantorp Park 1.
