38 COPPA ITALIA Audi RS 3 LMS cars made a clean sweep in the two last events of the Coppa Italia Turismo that took place at Vallelunga and Imola, with four victories in the TCR class. VALLELUNGA – BETTERA AND BARBOLINI SHARE VICTORIES In the first race, Jacopo Guidetti was the first to cross the finishing line, but he was given a 15-second penalty for an incident with Enrico Bettera and so dropped to third overall behind the BMW M3 of Federico Borret and Bettera who inherited victory in the TCR class. The second race was run under pouring rain and saw Edoardo Barbolini – Guidetti’s co driver – claiming an authoritative win ahead of his teammate Andrea Argenti and disabled driver Giulio Valentini. IMOLA – AIELLO IS STRIPPED OF VICTORY IN RACE 2 In Race 1, Guidetti was classified second overall, behind Borret’s BMW, after they had a close fight; Alessio Aiello was classified third overall and second in TCR, while Omar Fiorucci completed the class podium. Borret encored in Race 2, winning from Riccardo Fumagalli’s BMW. These results meant that Guidetti was crowned overall champion, beating his co-driver Barbolini by three points; Daniele Cappellari retained third place in the final standings despite not finishing Race 1 and then not starting Race 2 after an incident with Lissignoli.
