Files (Sollite Indigo Racing, Hyundai Veloster N); 3. M. Cheah (Team Engstler, Hyundai i30 N) RACE 2 – FOURTH PLACE IS NOT ENOUGH FOR LLOYD Douglas Khoo started from pole on the reversed grid, but he soon dropped down as Kim Jinsoo took the lead at the start; however, during the first lap Engstler, Lloyd, Files, Cheah and Gilbert Ang resumed their earlier battle. On lap 2, Cheah passed Files for P3 and then overtook Lloyd for P2 one lap later. As Engstler created a gap, the fight for second became red hot with Cheah, Lloyd, Files and Ang covered by five tenths. On the penultimate lap Files took his revenge and managed to pass both Cheah and Lloyd. The reigning TCR Europe champion grabbed second place, while Lloyd was unable to react and finished in a fourth position that ended his hopes of dethroning Engstler. After the race he lodged another protest against Cheah that was rejected by the Stewards.
