22 INTERVIEW Will the LADA Vesta Sport TCR get other new features this year? “Yes, we will have some minor improvements. No significant design changes, however, I hope they will allow us to become even more competitive.” In the 2020 season, you will team- up with a new partner, Mikhail Mityaev. What can you tell us about him? “I have known Mikhail for a long time, he is a consistent, thinking and fast driver. I have met him many times during the winter trials. He joined our team for the final races of last year, claiming good results and proving to be a great teammate. I think this guy will create a surprise and I will have to consider his speed.” What are your expectations for the new season? “I'm very much looking forward to it! I want to go back out on the street as soon as possible, travel to the races, do my favourite things. I can’t wait for the new season to kick off, rejoining my team and chatting with the other competitors. And, of course, I can’t wait to go racing again! In the meantime… we train online.”
