The son of former French F3 champion Cathy Muller and the nephew of four-time World Touring Car champion Yvan Muller, Ehrlacher has been a serious contender in both the WTCC and WTCR. After claiming his first race victories in the 2018 WTCR at the wheel of a Münnich Motorsport-run Honda Civic, last year the young Frenchman joined Cyan Racing to team-up with his uncle, Thed Björk and Andy Priaulx in one of the team’s four Lynk & Co 03 cars. "I had a great first year with the team and got along well with everyone quickly. The Lynk & Co 03 TCR turned its first laps less than a year before the season finale and now we are the team world champions. It was a fantastic first year both for me and also for the team." How are you holding up during the COVID-19 pandemic? "I am fine. There is unfortunately no racing, but the most important thing is for everyone to stay safe and work together to overcome this phase. I am thinking a lot about the medical staff that work flat out to keep the safety as high as possible. They are doing a fantastic job. The lockdown has forced me to stay fit because they closed all the fast food places… Joking aside, I do a lot of indoor cycling and workout at home, as well as a lot of SIM racing. Most recently I raced in the WTCR e-sport pre- season with my digital Lynk & Co 03 and that was a lot of fun. I spend many hours in front of the simulator each day."
