33 After one and a half seasons in TCR Europe, Dániel Nagy is ready to fight for the title. The Hungarian youngster feels much more confident after joining the BRC Racing Team for the new season, even though they have only worked together during a track test and in SIM Racing so far. After dominating the first round of TCR Europe SIM Racing you said you were over the moon. What was your feeling? “First of all I have to say that it’s much more than a simple game, because there is serious competition here. It’s good to see that all the competitors are determined because it made my double victory even more valuable. After the first round in Spa my team principal Gabriele Rizzo and my engineer Pietro Speronello were both satisfied. We prepared together and we also practiced together; it was the right way for me to get used to working with Pietro and it went very well. A few competitors called me after the race to ask what gear I’m using. I soon got the right feeling with the game and after the first few laps I felt that the pace would be good and I just had to work on consistency. It’s strange competing from home, in a quiet room. It’s absolutely different from a real race. You don’t feel the car and the power, don’t hear the sound of the engine and don’t smell the fuel.” This year you have joined the BRC Racing Team. What were your first impressions of the team? “Our story with BRC started with a test last year, in Italy, and it was obvious from the very first moment that it’s a professional team, with a fully dedicated professional staff. Being part of the reigning Touring Car world champion team is a great honour for me. I'm grateful to be able to work with such experts.”
