10 DENMARK KasperH. Jensen opens instyle Massive Motorsport's Kasper H. Jensen emerged as the best driver from a successful opening event of TCR Denmark's maiden season at Jyllandsringen. Jensen and his Honda Civic Type R claimed pole position, scored two lights-to-flag victories in the first and third races, and were classified third in Race 2. Those results propelled him to the top of the standings, nine points clear of Nicolai Sylvest who won the second race. Jacob Mathiassen was impressive at the wheel of the Insight Racing Alfa Romeo Giulietta, while former F1 star Jan Magnussen was delayed by a penalty in Race 2 and then retired in Race 3. RACE 1 – JENSEN BEGINS WITH A LIGHTS-TO-FLAG WIN Jensen started from pole and sprinted away from the rest of the field, while Martin Andersen tried in vain to stay in touch with the leader and eventually finished second; Magnussen completed the podium in third position. During the first two laps, Jensen was chased by Sylvest, but on lap 3 the latter was given a drive-through penalty for a jump-start and rejoined in fifth position behind Michael Markussen. For the rest of the race, Sylvest tailed Markussen, but was not able to grab fourth position from him. Another close fight developed for sixth place with Norwegian youngster Kristian Moe Sætheren (Insight Racing, Alfa Romeo) who managed to reject every attempt from Kim Lund Johansen (Madbull Racing, CUPRA) and René Povlsen (Meteor Racing Volkswagen Golf). Eventually, Povlsen lost eighth place to Mathiassen who recovered after starting 15th following technical issues suffered in Saturday’s Qualifying.
