16 24H SERIES Plentyofaction inPortimāoandMonza AUTORAMA MOTORSPORTS AND RED CAMEL-JORDANS.NL SHARE WINS After beginning the year in Dubai in January, the 24H series resumed at Portim ā o in Portugal in mid-June after a five-month break caused by the coronavirus lockdown. A month later, attention switched to the 12H Monza in Italy, although both races delivered triumph and heartbreak in equal measure. The win in Portugal went to the Volkswagen Golf GTI of the Autorama Motorsport by Wolf- Power Racing team, while victory at Monza was secured by the Red Camel- Jordans.nl CUPRA, but both results weren’t without their dramas. 24H PORTIM Ā O – AUTORAMA MOTORSPORT ENCORES 2018 VICTORY The race in the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve saw no fewer than four different TCR cars take turns to lead the TCE class. The first half of the race provided a great battle between the Comtoyou Team’s Audi RS 3 LMS of Tom Coronel, Nicolas Baert and Nathanaël Berthon and the Red Camel-Jordans.nl CUPRA of Ivo Breukers and his sons Rik and Luc. However, the Dutch team retired soon after daybreak with engine failure and the Comtoyou Audi dropped to second place after spending around 25 minutes in the pits during the night. The incidents meant the Autorama Motorsport by Wolf-Power Racing VW of Roberto Ferri, Miklas Born, Antti Buri, Kari-Pekka Laaksonen and Yannick Mettler inherited the lead
