18 24H SERIES 12H MONZA - RED CAMEL-JORDANS.NL SURVIVES AND WINS Four weeks later, Ivo and Luc Breukers more than made up for the disappointment in Portugal by taking a one- lap victory, despite losing more than four laps with suspension failure in the race’s early stages. Another car that suffered during Friday’s four-hour first leg of the race, the Brutal Fish by KCMG Honda Civic driven by Martin Ryba, Daniel Lloyd and Pepe Oriola, clawed its way back into the lead of the TCE class and led the Red Camel-Jordans.nl CUPRA by around two minutes with less than forty minutes of the race remaining. The Honda, however, pulled up at the exit to the second Lesmo corner and, although a quick reset in the pits had the car going again, all hope of victory had evaporated, and the team had to settle for third in class. The dramas weren’t over, as the Autorama Motorsport by Wolf-Power Racing Volkswagen Golf GTI of Miklas Born, Constantin Kletzer and Yannick Mettler went wide at the first chicane with the resulting damage to the front left corner of the car forcing a pit stop with less than twenty minutes remaining. Thankfully, the Swiss team was far enough ahead of the Brutal Fish Honda to cling onto second place, the Golf finishing a lap ahead of the Civic. The NKPP Racing by Bas Koeten Racing CUPRA of Harry Hilders and Gijs Bessem that led the race after Friday’s first leg completed a solid drive to finish fourth. The result means that the Red Camel-Jordans.nl team has moved into second place in the 24H Series Europe TCE standings and is now just 12 points behind the Autorama Motorsport by Wolf-Power Racing team, the reigning TCE Teams’ champions. The next event in the series is the 24H Barcelona on September 4th/6th
