10 ITALY MISANO – ERIC BRIGLIADORI DELIVERS THE DOUBLE In Race 1, Jelmini led from lights-to-flag; behind him Girolami was chased by Pellegrini and Brigliadori who had both passed Tavano. Pellegrini spun off on lap 4 and dropped from P3 to P6 and four laps later Girolami lost P2 to Brigliadori and retired, which promoted Tavano and Pellegrini to third and fourth respectively. After the race, however, Jelmini was excluded due to a technical infringement and Brigliadori inherited the victory. Tavano made a great start from P3 on the grid and moved into the lead of Race 2. Pellegrini passed Michele Imberti for P2 on lap 1 and then grabbed the lead from Tavano on lap 3. Brigliadori and Jelmini too were able to pass Tavano moving into second and third. Brigliadori closed the gap to Pellegrini and overtook him at the end of lap 15, while Jelmini could not get close enough to try an overtaking move and settled for third position.
