13 KAZAN RING – LADYGIN RETAINS THE POINTS LEADERSHIP At the start of Race 1, Lukashevich took the lead ahead of Dudukalo, but then outbraked himself and went off, prompting the safety car into action. When racing resumed, Dudukalo led from Gavrilov, Maslennikov, Fatkhutdinov, Burlutskyi, Mityaev and Ladygin. Dudukalo and Gavrilov had a fight for the lead, Burlutskyi ran in third and so did Fatkhutdinov in fourth. During the final lap, Gavrilov made his move on Dudukalo, they made contact and Gavrilov went through to claim his first win of the season. In Race 2, Ladygin took the lead from the pole on the reversed grid, followed by Maslennikov. Gavrilov advanced to P3 and put the pressure on Maslennikov who made a mistake and dropped to third, then he lost another position to Burlutskyi. Gavrilov closed in on Ladygin, but the latter retained a margin of a bit more than one second under the chequered flag.
