TCR World and life
16 GERMANY The four races that opened the ADAC TCR Germany delivered four different winners and plenty of action, despite the fact that the field has shrunk significantly compared to previous years. With no Audi cars on the grid, the fight for the top positions seems restricted to the Hyundai and Honda drivers. A battle that risks being seriously affected by the decision of the Profi Car Team to withdraw Mike Halder and his sister Michelle from the second race at the Nürburgring. However, Mike’s teammate Dominik Fugel, who won Race 2 at the Lausitzring, is the current leader of the standings by four points over the 2018 champion Harald Proczyk. LAUSITZRING – ROOKIE NICO GRUBER CLAIMS MAIDEN WIN At the start of Race 1, pole sitter Antti Buri hesitated and Gruber sprinted to take the lead; behind the pair, Mike Halder overtook Jan Seyffert for P3. When racing resumed, Halder grabbed P2 from Buri, while Proczyk passed Seyffert for P4. René Kircher was on pole on the reversed grid for Race 2, with Michelle Halder alongside; the latter led the field, but she was soon passed by Dominik Fugel and her brother Mike. One lap later, Proczyk also passed Michelle for P3. She lost another position on lap 6, when Buri passed her for P4.
