17 was trying to pull away, Mike Halder’s pace faded and at the end of lap 8, he pitted and retired. This promoted Proczyk and Buri to second and third, but despite their efforts they weren't able to close in on Fugel. NÜRBURGRING – GUEST STAR MICHELISZ WINS THE FIRST RACE At the start of Race 1, Proczyk moved before the red lights went out and led from Michelisz, while Mike Halder and Andreas Bäckman followed in third and fourth. Behind them Jessica Bäckman and Gruber came together; the Swedish lady spun and collected Buri. The safety car was deployed, and when racing resumed, Proczyk served a drive- through for the jump-start, which handed the lead to Michelisz who pulled away from Mike Halder and took the win; Andreas Bäckman completed the podium with Michelle Halder fourth. After the race Mike Halder was excluded for deactivating the fire extinguisher in the parc fermé. The field for Race 2 was reduced to 13 cars, as both Mike and Michelle Halder withdrew as a protest against Mike’s exclusion from Race 1. Gruber and Buri started from the front row of the reversed grid and the Finn took the lead from Gruber, Proczyk and Michelisz. On lap 9, Gruber damaged the front suspension over the kerbs and retired, which helped Proczyk to move into P2 and Michelisz into P3. Two laps later, a drive-through for a jump-start was imposed on Buri, meaning that Proczyk and Michelisz inherited first and second, which is the way they finished, with Dominik Fugel a distant third.
