36 ENDURANCE For the whole race, the Audi was chased by the Floral Racing with Uematsu Honda Civic Type R of Tadao Uematsu (left), Yuji Ide, Shintaro Kawabata and Tomoki Nojiri that finished two laps behind. The Honda team took their revenge in the second round, the 3-hour race at Sugo Sportsland, where Uematsu, Ide and Kawabata beat the Waimarama Kizuna Audi by 3.5 seconds. The Volcano Motorsport duo of Mikel Azcona and Evgenii Leonov (below) keep on dominating the Campeonato de España Resistencia. At the wheel of their CUPRA they have won five races from the fourth held so far, and only Ferrán Mendez in the CUPRA run by RC2 Junior Team was able to beat them in the first race at Jerez de la Frontera. The first two rounds of the Japanese Super Taikyu were plagued by pouring rain. The 24-hour race at Fuji Speedway was suspended for nearly four hours and eventually the Audi RS 3 LMS entered by Waimarama Kizuna Racing won the TCR class with Katsumasa Chiyo, 'Kizuna', Riki Okusa, Hironobu Yasuda, Toshihiro Yoshida and Naoya Yamano sharing driving duties.
