11 By finishing second in the last race of the season at Jarama, Mehdi Bennani (left and above) clinched the TCR Europe Drivers’ title. The Moroccan driver was second in the standings before the final event, with a gap of 26 points to Mike Halder (below). While the latter struggled to find a good pace on the damp track and eventually crashed and retired in both races, Bennani finished fourth in Race 1 and second in Race 2, jumping to the top of the points table. Although he didn’t record any victories during the season, Bennani proved to be very consistent and drove his Comtoyou Racing Audi RS 3 LMS to score points in nine races from twelve.
