32 SPRINT RACES SMC Junior Motorsport’s Gonzalo De Andrés was crowned TCR Ibérico champion at Jerez de la Frontera. De Andrés, at the wheel of his Peugeot 308, finished fourth in the opening race behind his rival in the title fight Evgenii Leonov, Mikel Azcona and the 16-year-old rookie Isidro Callejas. These results meant that Leonov had reduced his gap in the standings to just one point behind De Andrés. He finished third behind the Volcano Motorsport duo of Leonov and Azcona, so securing the title. The 2020/21 UAE Procar Championship kicked off with two events at the Dubai Autodrome.
