TCR World and life
15 Chaz Mostert has emerged as the early leader of the TCR Australia championship after the first two events of the season. After twice finishing on the podium in the season opener at Symmons Plains, Mostert claimed two authoritative victories at Phillip Island, on Saturday in the wet and on Sunday in the dry (above and right). He was set to complete a hat trick of wins from the weekend in Race 3 when the right front tyre of his Audi blew and he had to pit to change it, which handed Jason Bargwanna his and Peugeot’s first victory in TCR Australia (left). Despite this setback, Mostert has taken the lead in the standings, 15 points clear of his rookie teammate Luke King who finished second in both Race 1 and Race 2.
