5 HYUNDAI, CUPRA AND ALFA ROMEO UNDERGO AN INTENSIVE TESTING PROGRAMME IN PREPARATION FOR THE INAUGURAL RACING SEASON The magnificent three T Hyundai Veloster N, CUPRA e- Racer and Alfa Romeo Giulia by Romeo Ferraris, listed in the order in which they appeared in the ETCR official tests, are undergoing an intensive testing programme ahead of the inaugural season for this new category, the first multi- brand series for electric touring cars. In 2021, the PURE ETCR championship will showcase these hugely powerful saloons that will later be available to customer teams for racing in regional and national series. WSC, the entity behind the ETCR concept and technical regulations, set up a busy schedule that began at Williams Advanced Engineering in the UK, with the integration of the ETCR kit inside the first model of each brand. The following step was the beginning of the track tests that were run in Italy at Vallelunga, except for a three-day session at Motorland Aragón in Spain, under the supervision of WSC’s technical department that was fully supported by the category’s technical suppliers: WAE for the batteries, Magelec for the powerplants and Enel X for the chargers.
