TCR World and life

6 WTCR Last and by no means least is a stellar ramp up by Zeng ő Motorsport, which will field four CUPRA Leon Competición cars. Hungarian young gun Bence Boldizs returns, alongside his team-mate from last year, 2018 TCR Europe champion Mikel Azcona; while two world touring car regulars are also back on the grid. Jordi Gené will return after six years away, his last race being the 2015 TCR International Series finale at Macau. Their latest signing is Rob Huff, who’s back in the WTCR after one year out racing in the TCR Scandinavia championship and is the driver with the second-most world touring car starts behind Tom Coronel. There are calendar changes for the 2021 WTCR as well, with three new circuits making up the eight-event calendar. The championship starts at the Nürburgring on June 3-5, followed by a first appearance for the WTCR at the Estoril circuit in late June, before a return to the Spanish Aragón Motorland circuit, which held the final two events of the cut-short 2020 season. Adria, which was due to host a round last year, will now be the stage for the fourth event of the season, before the Hungaroring completes the European leg. Inje Speedium in South Korea, which was also due to be visited, will host the first leg of the Asian fly-aways in October, before the WTCR finishes off in China, first at Ningbo and then Macau.
