19 There’s a new generation of Touring Car drivers that are quickly maturing in TCR Europe, and some of them had already proved their skills last year, like Nicolas Baert and Sami Taoufik. A couple of the most promising young talents are Isidro Callejas and Jack Young, teammates at Brutal Fish Racing Team (above). The 17-year-old Callejas is having an impact on his debut season in professional racing. At the wheel of his Honda Civic Type R, the Spanish youngster narrowly missed the podium at Spa (top left) and set the pole position at the Nürburgring. Young, 19 from Northern Ireland, has savoured the taste of leading a race at the Nürburgring and has already climbed onto the podium twice: second in the Netherlands and third in Germany. Jáchym Galáš joined TCR Europe after proving to be a title contender in the 2019 and 2020 TCR Eastern Europe. The 19-year-old Czech had a difficult start of the season, but was finally able to stay with the top runners in the Nürburgring’s Race 2, finishing fifth in his Janík Motorsport Hyundai i30 N (left).
