11 TCR Asia and TCR China had raced together two weeks earlier at Tianma for rounds 9 and 10 that were won by Zhang Zhi Qiang’s Lynk & Co and Zhang Zhen Dong’s MG respectively. The following day, TCR China competitors took part in their two last races that were dominated by the MG XPower cars in a three-way battle for the title. Cao Hong Wei took his second win of the season in Round 11 from teammates Rodolfo Ávila and Zhang Zhen Dong, sending the title fight down to the wire. Before the last race, Ávila was leading by one point over Zhang with Cao 14 points behind. At the start, Zhang and Ávila had a tough scrap, they made contact a couple of times and Ávila muscled his way past Zhang, with Cao right behind the pair. The latter seemed in trouble and dropped several places, which promoted the Auto Home Racing Team’s MG of Wang Tao to third. After a safety car intervention, Zhang tried to pass Ávila, but to no avail, and so he finished second, half a second behind Ávila who was crowned champion by eight points.
