TCR World and life

Only one event is left before the first ever TCR South America champion will be crowned, and the battle is still very close with three contenders covered by 24 points, when 55 will be on offer in the season finale at Concepción del Uruguay on December 18/19. Pepe Oriola and his W2 Racing Honda Civic have retained the lead in the standings with a margin of 14 points over Rodrigo Baptista’s Cobra Racing Audi RS 3 LMS, while Oriola’s teammate Raphael Reis lies in third position, ten further points adrift. Neither Oriola nor Baptista (below) have scored victories in the last five races that were all held in Argentina, and Reis was able to join the battle mainly thanks to his victory in the endurance round at Buenos Aires, where he shared his Honda Civic with Néstor Girolami (left and above).
