28 ENDURANCE The inaugural season of the TCR Ibérico Endurance finished in Spain, at Jerez de la Frontera, where Gustavo Moura was crowned champion in the TCR class (below). Sharing his Hyundai Elantra N with Luís Cidade, Moura finished the two 45-minute races in third and second positions overall, clinching the class win in the second race, while Rafael Lobato and Manuel Alves were the TCR winners in Race 1 with their Veloso Motorsport CUPRA. Daniel Teixeira, Moura’s rival in the title fight, was classified third in the class in both races and so Moura led him by 12 points in the final standings. The AC Motorsport Audi RS 3 LMS #188 driven by Stéphane Perrin, Mathieu Detry, Rik Breukers and Matthew Taskinen took a first victory of the season in the final round of the 24H Series at Sebring International Raceway (right). However, this was not enough to snatch the title from the Autorama Motorsport VW Golf GTI #1 of Constantin Kletzer, Emil Heyerdahl, Fabian Danz, Jasmin Preisig and Miklas Born that finished second, one lap behind, and so secured a third consecutive crown for the Swiss team. Only six points split the two teams in the final standings. Kletzer and Heyerdahl clinched the overall TCE Drivers’ title. Santiago Concepción won the two- hour race at Barcelona, the final round of the Campeonato de España Resistencia, in his PCR Sport-run CUPRA (below). The young Spaniard outpaced the TCR field in Qualifying, beating Amalia Vinyes by 1.2 seconds. Concepción then established a quick and consistent pace during the whole race and took the chequered flag 2.2 seconds ahead of the CDS Engineering Audi RS 3 LMS shared by Mirco van Nostrum and Álvaro Fontes who secured the title in the TCR class.
