DRIVERS TEAM

TCR cars were the dominant force in the

24H Touring Car Series’s first two rounds

at Silverstone and Magny-Cours.

Thirteen TCR cars took the start out of

a 30-car field at Silverstone and

eventually filled the top six positions in

the overall classification. Victory went

to the Team Bleekemolen SEAT León

shared by Sebastiaan Bleekemolen,

Melvin de Groot, Rob Smith and Rene

Steenmetz that completed 549 laps for

a distance of 3239 kilometres. The Pit

Lane Competizioni Audi RS3 LMS DSG

(Alberto Vescovi, Roberto Ferri, Zach

Arnold, Enrico Bettera, John Filippi)

claimed second place, five laps behind.

Ten further laps down, third position

went to the Modena Motorsports SEAT

León DSG (Marcel Tjia, Christian Chia,

Michael Soeryadjaya, Benny Simonsen,

Philippe Descombes).

The Monlau Competición SEAT León

driven by José Manuel Pérez Aicart,

Alba Cano Ramírez and Álvaro Bajo won

the second round: the 12H Magny-

Cours.

After setting pole position, the Spanish

team led the whole race and Pérez

Aicart took the chequered flag after

having completed 358 laps on the

French circuit, equalling a total distance

of 1579 kilometres. Three laps behind

the winners, the Red

Camel-Jordans.nl

SEAT León TCR DSG (Ivo Breukers,

Robert Nearn, Anthony Morris) finished

in second place. The Bas Koeten Racing

SEAT León TCR DSG (Kristian Jepsen,

Jan Sorensen, Morten Jepsen) finished

fourth overall and completed the

podium of the TCR class.

The third round of the 24H TC Series

will be the 24H Misano on 7 to 9 July.
