37 A highly‐impressive 15‐year‐old, Reece Gold rose to the occasion with multiple podium finishes early, but he was soon passed by Eduardo Barrichello. The young Brazilian, son of former F1 ace Rubens Barrichello, made his breakthrough with two wins on the Indy street course, and then crossed swords with Gold throughout the rest of the year, eventually prevailing in the final round at St.Petersburg. The 2020 finale also also highlighted two impressive rookies who claimed their maiden wins.
