4 What will be the future for the old generation cars existing around the world? “Almost half of the cars in circulation ended up in the hands of gentleman drivers or driving academy already at the end of the European season and they are living a second life. With its low running cost, ease of use and high safety standards, that chassis still is a very popular choice in this market and I am sure it will have a rather long lifespan ahead.” Eight years after making its debut, the F4 movement is still on the rise. “I believe that by now, the Formula 4 platform has become a benchmark for all the drivers who move on from karting to single‐seaters. After so many years, our product is still highly appreciated, and the series has become an unmissable and very formative step for drivers who want to compete in motor racing. While in 2014 it was something totally new and unknown, today F4 is recognized and consolidated worldwide. Drivers have the opportunity to make their first steps in a car with excellent performance and safety. I think that the Italian series, with the work done by WSK as a promoter, its fundamental connection to karting, and its high‐level venues, has succeeded in attracting the best teams in Europe. As a consequence, this attracted many drivers who want to work with highly‐ professional operations, the same ones of the upper‐level championships." At the same time, Formula Regional consolidated itself at a global level, with the Tatuus T‐318 chassis that keeps widening its scope. “Formula Regional was a great challenge for us and, three years after our debut, it is providing great satisfaction. On one hand, the unification between Formula Regional European and Formula Renault Eurocup deprived the Tatuus group of the Alfa Romeo engine supply deal by Autotecnica Motori, but on the other hand, I believe it was the right decision as it created a clearer path for drivers moving from Formula 4 to Formula 1.
