ENDURANCE

The Creventic-promoted endurance

championship visited Portugal and

Spain in two back-to-back

weekends.

The 24H Series came to an end in

Portimão, where the Team Altran

Peugeot won the TCR class and was

classified 14th overall. The team’s

Peugeot 308 Racing Cup shared by

Thierry Blaise, Kim Holmgaard,

Michael Carlsen and Mathieu Sentis

beat the sister car of Stéphane

Ventaja, Gonzalo Martín de Andrés,

Thierry Boyer and Thierry Chkondali

that had set pole position, but was

delayed after a collision on

Saturday evening.

With James Kaye forced to withdraw

in the Cadspeed Racing Audi RS3

LMS, Blaise and Holmgaard grabbed

the title in the TCR class.

One week later, 18 TCR cars took

part in the 24H TCE Series’ fourth

round at Barcelona that was

dominated by SEAT León cars. The

Team Bleekemolen León driven by

Sebastiaan Bleekemolen, Melvin de

Groot, Rene Steenmetz and Michael

Bleekemolen finished second overall

to take the TCR class victory ahead

of Monlau Competición (Àlvaro

Bajo/Alba Cano Ramírez/Jurgen

Smet/José Manuel Pérez Aicart) and

Bas Koeten Racing (Kristian

Jepsen/Jan Sorensen/Martin van

den Berge/Anders Fjordbach).

The series’ final round will be the

12H Spa Francorchamps on October

6/8.
