TCR World and life

5 Yann Ehrlacher was crowned the new WTCR champion in the season finale at Motorland Aragón. The 24- year-old Frenchman secured the title at the end of the second of the final three races, becoming the youngest-ever World Touring Car champion and making Lynk & Co the first Chinese manufacturer to win an FIA World title. In the second part of the season, Ehrlacher benefited from the support of the whole team, and especially from that of his uncle Yvan Muller (above). After having built a comfortable margin in the standings, during the final event he could focus on finishing the first two races in the points. Two sixth places were enough to clinch the title before Race 3 in which Ehrlacher finished second behind his teammate Santiago Urrutia.
