DRIVERS TEAM

The inaugural event of TCR Benelux

took place at Spa-Francorchamps,

where the Honda cars run by the

Boutsen Ginion Racing won nearly

everything. Tiago Monteiro and

Stéphane Lémeret won the 60-minute

qualifying race despite a strong

opposition from the DG Sport

Compétition Opel Astra of Pierre-Yves

Corthals and Frédéric Caprasse.

On Sunday, Monteiro repeated his win

in the first sprint race, but was beaten

by Guillaume Mondron in the second.

Then the rain spoiled the show.

Renaud Kuppens won race three in the

second Boutsen Ginion Racing car

ahead of teammate Lémeret and

Corthals’ Opel. They finished in the

same order in Race 4 that was

red-flagged for torrential rain.

Honda wins four races out of five at Spa-Francorchamps
