CARIATI CELEBRATES FUOCO
Antonio Fuoco in the limelight again… but not on the
track this time. On 8th August the citizens of the team
Prema Junior driver’s hometown, Cariati, turned out in
force for the current leader of the Formula Renault 2.0
ALPS championship and young pupil at the FDA
(Ferrari Driver Academy).
An event organised in order to promote the “Fuoco
project”, receive the plaudits of his numerous fans and
thank them in return for the support they have given
him all season at the various circuits up and down the
country. In his first year in single-seater racing Fuoco
immediately emerged as one of the hottest prospects
in the championship organised by Fast Lane
Promotion. He has already reached the attention of
the national press and Sport Week, the weekly sports
supplement of La Gazzetta dello Sport, ran an article
on him a couple of weeks ago (the article is available
in the press release area of this website).
But there are still two meetings to go before this
exciting 2013 draws to a close: the season resumes in
Mugello, on 7th and 8th September, before concluding
in Imola at the beginning of October.
THE GO-KART DRIVER ALFREDODE
MATTEOREADY FOR THE CLIOCUP
At the age of 19, and following a successful career in
kart racing, Alfredo De Matteo had his first taste of the
"Clio Cup" in the circuit in Magione. The young Sicilian
driver’s debut came on Sunday 11th August, and he
made an immediate impression with some very
competitive lap times.
In fact, by the end of the day, De Matteo managed to
match the performance of Simone Melatini, a full-time
driver who is currently involved in the Lane Promotion
organised single seater competition.
The agreement between Melatini Racing-Veregra
Competition and Alfredo De Matteo could lead to him
making his official debut in the Clio Cup Italia.
