STCC’s successful
conversion
The conversion of the Scandinavian
Touring Car Championship to TCR
rules has proved to be extremely
successful. After the 'silhouette'
seasons, in which the STCC struggled
to put together a decent grid, about
twenty drivers have taken part in the
TCR Scandinavia’s first events at
Knutstorp in Sweden and Alastaro in
Finland. Among them the cream of
Nordic Touring Cars: Fredrik Ekblom,
Robert Dahlgren, Johan
Kristoffersson, Daniel Haglöf and
many more.
Dahlgren emerged as the guy to beat
at Knutstorp. The PWR Racing driver
and his SEAT León won the first two
races and finished second in the
third behind Ekblom’s Kristoffersson
Motorsport Volkswagen Golf GTI.
