            Formula E, the future starts in September
          
        
        
          A revolutionary car for a fascinating
        
        
          championship. It's the Spark - Renault
        
        
          SRT – 01E, the first electric car to be
        
        
          homologated by the FIA, which will be
        
        
          the star of a brand-new series that will
        
        
          run between next September and June
        
        
          2015 in 10 of the world's most
        
        
          beautiful - and renowned - cities. From
        
        
          Beijing to London, from Los Angeles to
        
        
          Berlin, Buenos Aires and Monte Carlo,
        
        
          the Formula E series is an open
        
        
          window on the future of racing and
        
        
          automotive industry in general. By
        
        
          using the latest technology available,
        
        
          the SRT - 01E is zero emission and Is
        
        
          aimed to redefine the boundaries of
        
        
          what has been electric motorsport so
        
        
          far, providing a great balance between
        
        
          cost and sustainability and responding
        
        
          the needs to race only on street
        
        
          venues. Ten teams will be in the show,
        
        
          all of them with two drivers, and high-
        
        
          caliber names are in the list. Mainly
        
        
          former Formula 1 men like Sebastien
        
        
          Buemi, Jerome D'Ambrosio, Bruno
        
        
          Senna e Karun Chandhok, Nick
        
        
          Heidfeld e Jaime Alguersari, Franck
        
        
          Montagny, Scott Speed and Lucas Di
        
        
          Grassi. Plus Jarno Trulli, who is the
        
        
          high-profile team-mate of Michela
        
        
          Cerruti and will field his own team.
        
        
          Other top-notch squads are involved:
        
        
          Andretti Autosport, Audi Sport Abt,
        
        
          Virgin Racing, Amlin Aguri, and
        
        
          more... The cars are built by French
        
        
          company Spark Racing Technology and
        
        
          by an international consortium which
        
        
          includes, in addition to Dallara:
        
        
          Renault, Williams Advanced
        
        
          Technology, Hewland, Michelin and
        
        
          McLaren Electronic Systems. Thanks to
        
        
          the company's world-famous heritage
        
        
          and experience, Dallara built the
        
        
          monocoque chassis, made of carbon
        
        
          fiber and aluminium.
        
        
          A tub that is both extremely light and
        
        
          resistant, compliant with the 2014 FIA
        
        
          crash tests and comparable to the ones
        
        
          used in Formula 1.
