The Team Principal of Tech 1 Racing is the

45 year old ex-race driver, Simon Abadie.

The French-based team, which he runs

together with his sister Sarah, participates

in all three of the main Renault Sport

          sponsored competitions: F.Renault 2.0

ALPS, Eurocup F.Renault 2.0 and Formula

Renault 3.5. Like many of the other teams,

they feature drivers from various different

countries, with the aim of promoting their

          technical and professional development…

What would you say is the overall balance

of your participation in Formula Renault 2.0

          ALPS thus far?

“Positive. It’s our third season in ALPS and

we’ve already won the championship twice:

the driver’s championship in 2011 with

          Javier Tarancon, and the team

championship in 2012. This year we’re in

with a chance of second place in the

          drivers' championship, although it's pretty

hard competing against team Prema; their

drivers know the tracks much better than

the others. I think it’s a top class

competition, and really well organised by

          Domenico Porfiri and Barbara Petrivelli”.

          The French team has

          always played an

          important role in the

          competition organised by

          Fast Lane Promotion,

          and after winning the

          drivers' title in 2011,

          followed by the team

          prize in 2012, they’re

          back among the results

          again this year with two

          young drivers enjoying

          their first experience of

          single-seater racing
