INTERNATIONAL SERIES

THE CHAMPION AT A GLANCE

Born: 3rd February 1990 in Lugano, Switzerland

career highlights

2011: 1st in the Renault Mégane Eurocup

2012: 1st in the Renault Clio Cup Italy

2014: 4th in the SEAT León Eurocup

2015: 1st in the TCR International Series

2016: 1st in the TCR International Series

might be the only people who could

take me and not ask me to change at

all!

To win a title once is special in

itself, but how does it feel to

become champion for a second time?

“The second title feels very different

to the first. In 2016, I won with a

great show but this year it’s been far

more about strategy – particularly in

Macau. I wanted to help Jean-Karl to

finish second in the championship,

but Oriola was pushing me too hard.”

“Winning a championship twice is

very important for my CV. TCR is

growing every year and it’s great to

have drivers like Tiago Monteiro

coming to take a look at what TCR is

about. He said to me after Macau

that he would wait for me in the

WTCC and I replied ‘no,

I will wait for you in TCR’ because

this is the future!”
