WORLD AND LIFE

TCR 2017

A week later, the TCR circus had

moved to ‘The Cathedral of Speed’

at Monza in Italy. So far, the

season had seen six different

winners from the six races, but

when Roberto Colciago took victory

in Race 1, he became the first two-

time winner of the year. His young

colleague Attila Tassi made another

stunning start and ran for much of

the race in second place, giving the

Honda Civic cars of M1RA Racing a

1-2 finish, while a relieved Pepe

Oriola finished third and so claimed

some vital points after the

frustrations of Spa.

Frédéric Vervisch started from pole

position, but the Comtoyou Audi

driver slipped to sixth by the

chequered flag. In Race 2, however,

Vervisch went the other way

through the field and, despite

starting from tenth thanks to the

reversed top-ten, he finished third
