Anche Charlie Hollings correrà nella F.3 australiana

Dopo l'italiano Marco Mapelli, un altro pilota europeo si è iscritto alla F.3 australiana. Si tratta di Charlie Hollings, che nel 2006 ha corso nella F.3 britannica, il quale ha raggiunto un accordo con il team Astuti per disputare tutta la stagione. Il campionato 2006 della F.3 di Australia è stato vinto dall'inglese Ben Clucas. La stagione 2007 inizierà questo weekend a Eastern Creek in concomitanza con la prova della A1 Grand Prix.

British driver Charlie Hollings has landed in Australia to challenge for the title in the 2007 Kumho Tyres Australian Formula 3 Championship. Charlie has signed for the entire season and completes a 19-car line-up for the opening round of the series, widely believed to become one of the most hotly contested Australian Open Wheel championships for some time. After the bashing the Brits have taken from the Ausies in recent months, Charlie hopes to reverse the UK’s flagging sporting fortunes down under and bring the championship Gold Star back to his home town of Harrogate in Yorkshire. With less than one week to go before the first race at the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport event at Eastern Creek on February 4, Charlie has teamed up with Astuti Motorsport and will be driving a 2004 Renault-powered Dallara for his first full season of racing outside Europe.
