L'ACO invita anche AF Corse e Scuderia Italia
L'Automobile Club de l'Ouest, che organizza la 24 Ore di Le Mans ha invitato altre quattro squadre grazie ad un accordo tra il presidente ACO Jean-Claude Plassart e Stephane Ratel, promotore del FIA GT. In base alla classifica finale del campionato GT1 e GT2 si è deciso di inserire tra gli aventi diritto a partecipare alla 24 Ore di Le Mans del 2007 altre quattro squadre: Vitaphone, Scuderia Italia, AF Corse ed Ecosse.

The attribution of these four invitations in addition to the first 24 cars was decided following an agreement between Mr. Jean-Claude Plassart, the President of the Automobile Club de l’Ouest and the A.S.A. A.C.O. of the “24 Heures du Mans”, and Mr. Stéphane Ratel, the director of the S.R.O Motorsports Group, the organiser of the FIA GT Championship. In accordance with the final overall classification of the 2006 FIA GT Championship, the entrants in the first two places in the FIA GT1 and GT2 categories have been awarded invitations provided that the car in question complies with the Automobile Club de l’Ouest regulations. The entrants who have been awarded these invitations are: VITAPHONE RACING TEAM, ASTON MARTIN RACING BMS, AF CORSE, SCUDERIA ECOSSE
