Nasce in Germania l'ADAC GT Masters

Giovedì 30 novembre è stato presentato in Germania, in occasione del Motorshow di Essen, il nuovo ADAC GT Masters che ricalcherà il campionato FIA GT3. La nuova categoria tedesca accoglierà Porsche GT3 Cup, Ferrari 430, Corvette, Mosler, Dodge Viper, Ascari KZR1, Aston Martin DBRS9 e Lamborghini Gallardo. Presenti al lancio della serie, Stephan Ratel (organizzatore del FIA GT e GT3) e Herman Tomczyk (presidente dell'ADAC sportivo) nonché padre del pilota DTM Martin. Alla presentazione sono intervenuti circa 150 addetti ai lavori tra team manager e piloti. la ADAC GT Masters adotterà i nuovi regolamenti GT3 e le gare nel calendario 2007 non coincideranno con quelle del FIA GT3.

The new ADAC GT Masters, based on the FIA GT3 European Championship, was launched at the Essen Motorshow, in Germany, on Thursday November 30th, at the new series' impressive stand. With a Porsche GT3 Cup, Ferrari 430, Corvette, Mosler, Dodge Viper, Ascari KZR1, Ascari, Aston Martin DBR9 and Lamborghini Gallardo cars on display, over 150 people attended the conference, including drivers and team managers. Guests of honour were Mr Hermann Tomczyk, Chairman of Sport at the ADAC, and SRO Chairman Stephane Ratel. The ADAC GT Masters is the first entirely new series to use the new regulations. There has been good interest from teams so far, with over 20 registering their interest. The calendar for the new series would not clash with the FIA GT3 European Championship.
