Prequalifiche a Le Mans: tempone della Bentley di Capello;
seconda l'Audi R8-Goh

La Bentley Speed 8 ufficiale affidata al nostro Dindo Capello, a Tom Kristensen e a Guy Smith ha ottenuto il miglior tempo alla fine delle prequalifiche della 24 Ore svoltesi oggi sul tracciato di Le Mans. Già davanti a tutti questa mattina nella prima sessione, la vettura inglese è stata capace di migliorare il crono di 3'38"886 portandosi fino al limite di 3'34"820 e staccando di ben 4 secondi l'Audi R8 del team giapponese Goh di Ara, Magnussen e Werner. Terza l'altra Bentley ufficiale, poi le altre due Audi private, con quella gestita da Audi Sport UK (Biela-Salo-McCarthy) davanti a quella del Team Champion (Pirro-Lehto-Johansson). La Durango MG di Michele Rugolo, Bouvet e Boulay ha sensibilmente migliorato il crono fatto segnare stamattina fermandosi a 3'55"589, in 18. posizione. Dietro la barchetta veneta si è piazzata la Ferrari 550 Maranello Veloqx-Prodrive di Enge, Davies e Kox, prima tra le GTS con 3'57"180.
