Valencia, 3° giorno: Schumacher subito primo con la Toyota

Terzo giorno di test a Valencia dove la Bridgestone, unica fornitrice delle gomme per il mondiale di F.1 2007, ha portato varie mescole da sviluppare. Ralf Schumacher, alla seconda presa di contatto con la Toyota TF107 è stato subito velocissimo con 1'11"297. Il tedesco ha preceduto il duo Renault, Giancarlo Fisichella e Heikki Kovalainen, poi Fernando Alonso che con la McLaren non è riuscito a confermarsi al vertice anche oggi. Non è invece scesa sotto il muro dell'1'11" la Ferrari di Kimi Raikkonen, tradito dal motore come Nick Heidfeld su BMW. Non sta convincendo in queste prime uscite la nuova Red Bull disegnata da Adrian Newey mentre la Williams continua ad avere diversi problemi tecnici.

In the third day of testing at Valencia the teams had the chance to wear new developmental tires that Bridgestone brought on track. Ralf Schumacher, in his second run with the 2007 Toyota, set the best lap of the day in 1:11.297. The German was followed by Giancarlo Fisichella and Heikki Kovalainen on the new Renaults. Fernando Alonso was fourth fastest in front of Raikkonen, who failed to break the 1:12 barrier due to an engine problem, like Nick Heidfeld. Adrian Newey's new Red Bull did not impress in a particular way, while Williams' reliability continued to struggle.
