Briscoe e Castroneves nella squadra Penske 2007

Manca solo la conferma ufficiale alle indiscrezioni che vorrebbero Ryan Briscoe vicinissimo all'accordo con Penske per la stagione ALMS 2007. L'australiano, protagonista quest'anno di alcune (ottime) apparizioni in Indycar e nelle gare endurance del V8 Supercars, verrà con ogni probabilità affiancato ad Helio Castroneves nelle gare non concomitanti con la serie di Tony George. A completare la squadra Porsche, dopo la partenza di Lucas Luhr verso casa Audi, saranno i confermati Sascha Maassen, Romain Dumas e Timo Bernhard. Emmanuel Collard e Patrick Long andranno ad aggiungersi al team per le grandi endurance.

Speculations keep rising about an upcoming ALMS deal between Ryan Briscoe and Penske Racing. The Australian, who completed a limited IndyCar schedule this year, together with the two V8 Supercars endurance races, is expected to join Helio Castroneves behind the wheel of a Penske's Porsche LMP2 Evo. After Luhr's departure to Audi, the new duo will be joining returning Porsche drivers Sascha Maassen, Romain Dumas and Timo Bernhard. Castroneves will obviously run a partial schedule due to his IndyCar commitment, as Emmanuel Collard and Patrick Long will be probably joining the rest of the team in selected occasions.
