Ritorna Ricky Rudd, nel 2007 con le Fusion di Yates

Iron Man è tornato. Ricky Rudd e Robert Yates hanno annunciato il raggiungimento di un accordo per la partecipazione a tutte le gare Nextel Cup della prossima stagione. Grazie al doppio supporto dello sponsor Masterfoods, il cinquantenne, indistruttibile “senatore” della Nascar, affiancherà così la rivelazione della Busch Series 2006, David Gilliland. Dopo 788 gare consecutive, Rudd aveva deciso la scorsa stagione di prendersi un anno sabbatico, tornando in pista solo a Dover per sostituire l'infortunato Stewart.

The Iron Man is back. Ricky Rudd will be joining Robert Yates Racing in 2007 for a full season campaign, with Masterfoods' Snickers brand as a main sponsor. The 50-year-old Rudd, who took a one-year break after starting 788 straight races from 1984 to 2005, will team up with 2006 Busch Series sensation David Gilliland. His only 2006 appearance was at Dover, where he replaced the injured Tony Stewart during the race.
