Stefan Johansson raggiunge il team Highcroft

Stefan Johansson è stato ingaggiato dal team Highcroft di Duncan Dayton per guidare la Courage LC75-Acura Honda nel campionato American Le Mans Series. Il pilota svedese porterà quindi al debutto l'inedito binomio Courage-Acura nella 12 Ore di Sebring del 17 marzo in compagnia dello stesso Dayton e di David Brabham. I due ex piloti di F.1 saranno poi al volante della vettura nel corso del campionato.

The final piece of Highcroft Racing's plans for the 2007 American Le Mans Series is in place. Team owner/driver Duncan Dayton officially announced Stefan Johansson as the team's second full-time driver along with David Brabham for the team's Acura-powered Courage LC75 in the Series' LMP2 class. The team's first race with its new Acura Courage will be the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring in Sebring, Fla., March 17. All three drivers will compete in that event. Brabham and Johansson will share the car equally in most of the other races, which are typically two-hour-and-45-minute sprints. All three drivers also plan to participate in the series' annual winter test at Sebring Jan. 22-24.
