Brands Hatch, libere 2: Thompson resiste, Corthals stupisce

Continua la superiorità di James Thompson a Brands Hatch. Al volante dell'Alfa 156 N Technology, l'inglese ha preceduto l'outsider indipendente Pierre-Yves Corthals. Dietro ad Alain Menu, costantemente in lotta per la vetta, ha chiuso la prima delle BMW, quella di Augusto Farfus, seguito da Andy Priaulx e Jorg Muller (4 marche diverse nelle prime 4 posizioni). Un po' in difficoltà le Leon TDI di Muller, diciassettesimo, e Gené, ventiduesimo, mentre Luca Rangoni ha chiuso con un fuori pista un'ottima sessione che l'aveva visto segnare il decimo tempo.
